Choosing a playgroup
Way before I had Evan, I thought home-school program is a great idea to bond with my child and teach him at my own pace. How tough can it be to teach some ABC and 123 before packing him to primary school.
For the first 4 months, its a breeze doing flash cards and reading him some storybooks. He loves us reading and will stare and listen attentively without fidgeting.
Fast forward to 11 months, Evan is like an active puppy on constant sugar rush.
His new philosophy is to Seek And Destroy.
All the books and educational toys we bought have been torn and chewed to pieces with huge chunks of it ending up in his mouth. Sometimes, we manage to dig it out from his mouth but most of it will be disintegrated and passed out the next morning with some visible tiny bits undigested.
A Play group for active babies to mingle and burn their energy together. Sounds Great!
Here are a few playgroups we have visited:

Last Year's Today- Mummy's monologue

My dear boy, You are turning 1 soon. How time flies!
Last year today, mummy and daddy are still excited but clueless about parenthood.
Breast pump, checked! (I thought I could breast-feed you for a year but fate played me out. You are born with 2 sharp teeth), XXXL unsexy undies, checked! Uber Cute Baby's rompers, checked! What to expect the first year (baby's bible), checked! Identity documents, checked! Camera, checked!... Oh, and finally, finding the way to Mt. A... Checked!!!
That's not too bad... I thought. My pregnancy bible "What to expect when you are expecting" by author Heidi Murkoff never mentioned anything about inconsolable screaming baby, milking nearly every hour, burping an unburpable baby and endless sleepless nights.
I should have suspect parenthood is not as simple as a checklist. I was naive. Haha...
Fast forward a year. I am now a proud mummy to a positive and cheerful little boy. I will do it all over again FOR YOU.

10 things I love about you:
- Your infectious cheeky laughter.
- Your positivity and curiosity at everything.
- Your incessant gibberish.
- Your irresistible cuddly bear hugs. More please.
- Your intense screaming when you are happy. I don't care even if it irritate passerby.(Meerkat gynae claimed that you are the loudest screaming baby he has ever delivered)
- Your ability to light up my life. Every day and every time without fail.
- Seeing your sunny bunny's smile and handsome face every morning.
- When you prefer me to anyone one else. Yet.
- When you said "Hi" and cheerfully waved at everyone on the street.
- When we spend time together.
